Rex Urwin
The director of the Mind Matters Institute of Emotional Intelligence, Rex, lives his passion daily. Rex’s mission is to help people understand themselves and discover their innate talent and divinity so they too can live their passion.
The man with the magnanimous nature and passion for living with integrity is focussed on connecting people with their full potential. His ability to relate to people from all backgrounds, despite culture, class or gender is unique. His skill through experiential learning, combined with more formal studies in human performance makes Rex a masterful teacher. If you ever have the privilege of spending an hour with Rex, you will begin to understand the great passion of this caring man and his deep love for human beings.
The essence of Rex stems from his extensive and adventurous travel from a young age and therefore his increasing dedication to the human culture "happiness" which has become his lifes work. He left home at an early age with a well developed curiosity, the desire to travel finding incredible adventures, where he learn't how to survive in basic conditions through to the abundance of life, his desire for understanding people led him to more cultures where he developed a deep understanding and love of the uniqueness of each person regardless of their circumstances. Through the years Rex became totally immersed with the various patterns of peoples lives and the cross cultural nature of circumstances common to all. He began to further his study of human performance academically to add to his deeply meaningful experience studying the behavioural sciences.
One of the biggest lesson’s Rex has learnt is that success is firstly who you become. To be truly successful you need to be happy with yourself first and then create and enjoy the things that are available for each of us to have.
Rex has studied and mastered many disciplines in the area of human performance including Hypnotherapy, Psychology and Neuro Linguistics. Today, Rex is a highly successful mentor and teacher. He is the passion of the Mind Matters Institute of Emotional Intelligence, an international community raising global consciousness through helping people reach their potential.
Rex is focussed on the invaluable wisdom in ancient cultures. Being closely involved with the ancient culture of Bali, Rex brings first hand wisdom creating innovative and sustainable relationship solutions with high integrity.
Along with his partner Catherine, Rex began a truly meaningful connection to the Balinese to preserve the ways of the true Balinese culture while meeting the needs of changing times, a delicate balance of history meets present. Rex and Catherine’s work is admirable, and is undertaken with much love. This is the beginning of a new cultural perspective of thinking, set to support how cultures relate and respect each other and through the work of the Mind Matters Institute develop significant change in the way people connect.
